Using Asteroids and Large Meteors as Spaceships What would make an ideal spaceship, would it be one we labored to build and poured billions of dollars into or is there something else we could do which might not only be cheaper, but easier to accomplish? Why are so many scientists examining an object named Oumuamua which seems to be an asteroid with a peculiar shape? There are a couple of different reasons for this. The first is this object has an elongated shape which has never been seen in a meteor or asteroid before. Another reason is scientists think it came from another galaxy and perhaps the most important reason is we have been thinking of using large meteors and asteroids as spaceships. I bet most of you have never heard of this before. I will go into more of that later, but scientists think it might be a possibility some alien race has done this and the result might be the object which came into our solar system. As of the writing of this article there is no sign this is true and the examinations of the object show no signs of it being a spaceship. However, an important question is could alien life be so different from us we couldn’t detect it or signals coming from the object even if the object was occupied? When NASA crashed a probe into the moon to see how dense it was, they were surprised to find out there was either a huge hollow spot in the moon or it was entirely hollow. There have been theories about the moon being such a spaceship. There have even been some who say they can prove it by referring to two huge areas on the moon where it looks like it was towed from. Some say the moon was brought here to create life on earth by influencing the tides and such and may have contained alien life which settled on the earth. You know something is up when the most famous living physicist, Stephen Hawking launches an investigation into the object Oumuamua which appeared in our solar system. This just proves a point to me, scientists are ready to believe in extraterrestrials and this aspect of human life is changing. So far Hawking has found nothing exciting or at the very least has not told anyone. There is a move by NASA to create asteroids which can be transformed into ships. Right now, it is said the purpose is to have them flying themselves to outposts where they can be mined. One company which has been awarded a contract by NASA to create these flying asteroids is Made in Space, a California based company. The name of the project is RAMA which stands for Reconstituting Asteroids into Mechanical Automata. This seems like a strange name for the project to me, but it does prove how seriously NASA is taking this idea. The idea is to send a craft to an asteroid which would take material from it and then use a 3D printer to create the engines and entire systems necessary to allow the asteroid to power itself. The craft could then go to another asteroid and repeat what it did. It is the first step in creating a spaceship out of an asteroid. It would be more involved to make it able to support human life, but there could be some real benefits. One such benefit might be protection from radiation. Radiation is a very big worry for space travel, but if the crew were deep inside an asteroid they would probably be well protected from it. There have been other asteroids which some have said were being used by aliens. Over the years a couple were suspected to be alien spaceships. One asteroid named Eros was said by some to be an actual alien base. Some reported seeing an alien structure on it. NASA had sent a spacecraft to orbit it. Why did NASA spend all this money just to orbit an asteroid? The reason might have been they thought there was something strange about it and this strangeness could have something to do with aliens. This was not the only asteroid which seemed to have a chance of alien influence. RQ36 was photographed in 1999 and seems to show a black pyramid on its surface. The object is interesting and from a certain angle one can see what looks like a pyramid protruding from the surface. Phobos is a tiny moon circling Mars. Many believe it was an asteroid which got captured by the gravity of Mars. What is really strange about this object is the fact there is a giant monolith on it. Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon said, "When people find out about that they are going to say, 'Who put that there? Who put that there?'" He was talking about the monolith. So called experts say it is just a boulder, but many believe this is disinformation. When viewed it almost looks like an office building or one of the monoliths in the movie “2001: A Space Odyssey”, except it is over 90 meters tall or 295.28 feet high. It seems NASA and scientists all over the world suspect there is proof asteroids and large meteors may be used as spaceships. When you think about this, it is not as far fetched as it sounds. They could also be used as robotic probes and might even contain useful information and technology we could use. I have only talked about the ones I know about, but you have to wonder how many of these objects were examined where something was found which was kept from us? So, it seems UFOs may not be the only things which could be alien vehicles, it could also be some asteroids. |
