The Search For Life Continues We have heard a lot about how quantum computing will change our lives because it will be so much more power full and be able to do things we can not do with our classical computers. Yes, it is true quantum computing is in its infancy, but even so scientists claim even at that stage it can solve problems much faster than our supercomputers. I guess we are going to find out because a quantum computer is going to be used to search for extraterrestrial life. A company called Zapata Computing has joined forces with the University of Hull in Yorkshire, England. It is believed this will improve the software which is being used and give the searchers a much better chance of finding life in the universe. Zapata is based in Boston. The scientists have said they will let us know the results in eight weeks from the start. I am all for the search for other life in the universe. I am not a proponent of checking for it in places we have no way of reaching. It seems like a waste of time to me if we discover what we believe is intelligent live on planets hundreds or thousands of light years away. Maybe the best place to begin is in our own solar system. I believe we should exhaust every chance of it existing on the hundreds of bodies at our disposal. It may not be as glamorous since there is nothing to indicate there is life here but who knows, it could be inside a planet or moons, in oceans in these places or even under the ice. I think our resources and money should be invested there first. If we did find some indication life exists on a far away planet, what we think is evidence could have been created by some other means. Take methene for example. We know much of it is created on earth by living creatures, but not all. If we find a planet in a cloud of methane it might not mean animals or intelligent beings are on the planet. On top of that the further away something is the longer it takes the light to reach us so in some cases a planet we think life is on, could have had the life die out by the time we looked at the image. That is one of the problems with telescopic images, we are looking into the past. We make certain assumptions but sometimes I have to wonder about them. Look at all the time we have spent looking for radio signals. They only travel at the speed of light. Not only that, but if we are looking for intelligent life, there would probably only be a tiny window where they used radio signals, if they used them at all. I think it might be only a couple of hundred years. We are already on the verge of using another method to communicate, one which is instant over any distance. It has to do with entanglement of particles. A couple of tests have already been conducted and it seems to work, but it is only at a primitive level so far, but it will improve as time goes by. Assuming we perfect it before the next century, it might mean we only used radio signals for about 200 years or so. Scientists are looking into a novel idea using quantum entanglement and the idea is to use the quantum entangled particles as fuel in a quantum entanglement engine. An example was give and it was of an engine which was half in New York and the other half in California. Both engine halves would share the fuel and be proficient. The engine would be 100 percent proficient unlike our engines today. A car’s gasoline engine is only 30 to 35 percent efficient. Since distance doesn’t matter to entanglement, we could put one half of our engine on a planet in our solar system and the other half on earth. I am assuming we could get up to speed in space because the entanglement process is instant, but that is probably a very long way off if at all. Some people believe we have not exhausted our search for other intelligent life on our own planet. Some believe the Earth is hollow and there could be beings living in there. Others talk about other dimensions which are accessible right from our planet. They even go so far as to say UFOs, now called UAPs are from this planet, just not from us. There are plenty of places in our solar system where we could search for previous life and there are all sorts of indications on both the moon and Mars there could have been past races living on Mars and perhaps having built bases on the moon. Many believe it is the secrecy of governments keeping this information from us. The U.S. government has believed for a long time we are incapable of handling any evidence we might find of alien life and it would destroy our society. The truth is many already believe there is alien life and finding proof of it would only reaffirm their ideas about this. I could point you to many people who think there are relics and proof of intelligent alien life on Mars for example. They believe it has been hidden from us for years, but sometimes seen in close examination of NASA panoramic photos when they are magnified. They believe the information is slowly leaking out from NASA either by whistleblowers or by accident. It isn’t only the big stuff like the face on Mars and the pyramid, it is a lot of little stuff like pieces of construction which show up in the background of photos and even what appear to be statues and pieces of them. We seem to be avoiding the Cydonia region of Mars on our searches and that is precisely the area where it looks like much of the big proof is. The Earth’s moon is another story. Light has been seen coming out of a crater and there doesn’t seem to be an explanation for it. Ruins of structures seem to be on the moon which have the shape of the rectangular remains of a building and a huge glass tower. It has even been reported some of the craters have the remains of glass domes which once covered them. I want to know more about this stuff first before I use all my resources looking out into deep space for the answer.
