Could an Intelligent Race Have Existed on Earth Over One Billion Years Ago? I like archaeology and it is exciting to me when ancient cities are being found which we never suspected existed, but I have to wonder if we will ever fine a city which is more advanced than we are today? There are those who believe there is a good chance there could have been races before us which reached a point where they had a technology surpassing ours. I am not talking tens of millions of years ago, but a billion or more years ago. They could have been here even billions of years ago and if the scientists who believe the earth is even older than the 4.5 billion years we think are correct, this just opens the door to a greater chance they could have existed. If you ask most scientists, they will tell you there is no evidence of it. I have to say since the earth is dynamic, that is it is constantly changing this makes it almost impossible to find any structures from that far back. Earth keeps piling upon earth for example and when we dig up structures even from thousands of years ago some of them are pretty deep. Continents move and separate with water flooding places where there used to be land and eventually sediment covers those places and there can be so much covering that we might have to dig for miles to discover anything from that far back. Even when we talk about modern humans there are many scientists who say we will not be around much longer. If they are correct and we all eventually disappear what would the earth look like a billion years from now? There probably would be no trace of us left. It has been estimated the life span of Mount Rushmore is 500,000 years and after that the shape of the heads will become shapeless in about 7 million years and after that the sculpture will be entirely gone, according to some experts. If something this substantial disappears in 7 million years, what kind of a chance does a building have of lasting or any structure. There has been estimates on the longevity of the Great Pyramid and that structure is given even less time. It has been estimated it has a life span of between 10,000 more years to 1,000,000 years. Yes, I know that is a crazy estimate which illustrates we really don’t know, but we do know its time is limited. This is what makes it so hard to know if ancient advanced races existed on earth before one billion years ago. What I am about to tell you might be a surprise to some people but the age of the Atlantic Ocean is only about 150 million years. Anything which might have been there before that is probably completely gone. It is said the continent of Pangaea was there before that but a rift opened up on it and the ocean filled it. The Pacific Ocean is much older at 750 million years. I think this is a great illustration of the continuous changes that take place on our planet. Given enough time, the planet changes completely. This is one of the reasons I believe to discover very ancient races which might have come before us we have to check somewhere else, on moons and planets that are not as dynamic as earth. Already we think there are alien ruins on the moon and certain structures are said to exist there. Well, when we think alien, we think not from this earth, but we hardly ever think if ruins exist, they could be from beings that lived on earth a billion years or more before us. Things last longer on the moon. The moon has no erosion by the elements like a wind or even water, and we are yet to find volcanic activity. Even footprints in the moon dust will last millions of years. It seems like the perfect place to explore for those ancient structures which might be impossible to find on earth. I’m talking about a couple of structures which are said to be on the moon, one being what looks like the rectangular remains of a building and another is a giant glass tower. Could ancient earth dwelling intelligent beings have gotten to the moon that far back and left evidence. We shouldn’t jump too quickly to the opinion aliens from outer space did the construction. Some experts think structures would last longer on Mars than earth but not long enough, if we are talking about a billion years. Mars, does after all, have a weather system. I would think another place to look for remains of structures by ancient advanced races from earth might be the asteroid belt. Years ago, a photo of a base on a small asteroid in the asteroid belt made it to the internet. I have no way of knowing if it was genuine and really released by a government employee. But if some ancient earth race wanted to create a secret base wouldn’t that be a great place to hide? It has been estimated there are between 1.1 million and 1.9 million asteroids in the belt and the conditions could be such that something built on one would last for the life of the asteroid. The greatest danger would be that of collision I believe. There could be evidence on many of the moons in our solar system and indeed a monolith has been reported by astronauts on the moon Phobos. Some say it is only a large rock but others claim it is a structure. One has to wonder if we have already explored it even robotically and suspect who built it. Thinking on a grander scale where else might we find evidence of ancient earth beings. I have given this some thought and have come to the conclusion if they wanted to protect the solar system, they might have created bases on bodies located in the Kuiper belt. This is a mysterious area located past the last known planet and might make a great area for defending all the planets and moons. As you can see, all this is only a theory, but wouldn’t it be nice to know for sure the true age of the earth and if any races occupied our planet before we were there? It could turn out the UFOs coming here might be piloted by earth creatures which are our predecessors. With so much information being kept from us it is only natural to wonder what is true and what is not. Yes, we might have been given facts that are not true to throw us off of the real facts.
