Government Secrets
We all know there are secrets kept by governments. Just because we hear so much about U.S. secrets does not mean we have a monopoly on secrets. We probably have more since we have far more projects which have to do with secret weapons and such which would be far too expensive for most nations to do. We have gotten to the point where we are trying to develop some of the things mentioned in science fiction stories and shows. One has only to check out some of the ideas from Star Trek to see what I mean. Remember Kirk talking on his communicator which looked suspiciously like a cell phone. We can take to the furthest degree the warp engine. People are working on this thing and there is one we know about; we have no idea what secret government projects have to do with it.
The Soviet Union and China have a slew of secret projects. One might be able to say even the European Union countries have their secret projects.
When there are secrets by governments, there are sometimes mistakes made. One of the problems is you never know if it was a mistake or someone did it on purpose. Take for example the U.S. Navy’s release of the UFO video from pilots aboard the Nimitz aircraft carrier. The film was first released by ”To The Stars Academy.” A couple of years later the navy admitted the film was real, but that was all they admitted to. They never admitted anything about the UFOs. Some people have been saying the film was released by mistake and that is how we civilians got it in the first place. There is another side to this however, and that side is saying it was released on purpose because the government wants us to think we are going to be invaded so they can declare Martial Law. I just can’t buy that. Another so called mistake was made with the accidental release of files which pertained to mind control. Part of the release had to do with wiping out minds. When things like this are released there is always the suspicion someone in the government wanted us to know what was going on because they felt it was so horrendous, we should know what was going on.
One country which seems to have a lot of secrets and maybe even rivals us in their amount is China. One of their greatest secrets is the amount of people they have on their spy payroll whose only duty is to manage to get into positions in U.S. companies so they can steal secret American information. There are numerous cases of these spies being caught, but it seems there are more of them who get away with it. In one case which I mentioned before an American Chinese scientist worked for a U.S. government facility for about 25 years and then stole sensitive information and took off for China before we found out. How does a person work that long with people he considers the enemy waiting for his chance to make a big splash in China? One of the answers is he doesn’t. If he still has relatives in China the Chinese government can use them as leverage to get the scientist to do their bidding. Can you imagine the Chinese government telling him they will kill his relatives if he doesn’t comply?
Lately we have been hearing a lot about TikTok, a Chinese company. In China companies have very close ties to the Chinese government and have to tow the line. The U.S. government has examined TikTok and found they are proficient at gathering as much data from users as humanly possible. There is no doubt about that statement. On the other hand, a lot of non-Chinese companies on the Internet do the same thing, so what is so special about a Chinese company. It is the history of China and the fact they have a dismal record when it comes to spying on us. The CIA released a ridiculous statement according to Forbes which stated they found no evidence the Chinese government intelligence services ever accessed data from TikTok. If you believe this, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. The Chinese government is adept at data gathering so why would they decide to excuse TikTok from this regimen?
The British are no strangers to state secrets, as a matter of fact they were accused of withholding papers from the National Archive. In 2017 the British government was accused of withholding 40 percent of the documents about the signing of the Maastrich treaty. This treaty was about more integration into the European Union. Was the British government worried the people would be upset about some of the terms which if shown could cost politicians their reelection? So, what was being hidden? Some of the things were arms sales by British companies to Iraq in the 1980s. There were papers on the Bank of Credit and Commerce International collapse and minutes from European Council meetings among other things. The government said some of the documents concerned national security. This is what is usually said about documents governments don’t want released.
In 2019 what can only be described as a huge collection of secret Russian documents was released by a group who attained them from hackers and leakers. Much of the material pertained to the Ukraine and the war, and dealings with what are now known as rich Oligarchs. When people found out how much material there was, they were astounded. It came to 175 gigabytes. The collection is being called “The Dark Side of the Kremlin.”
There is a long history of government secrets. The Germans had a secret which contributed to the U.S. entering World War I. The Germans had sent a secret telegram, known as the Zimmermann telegram, to the Mexican government which proposed a secret alliance between the two countries if the U.S. entered the war. The Germans proposed restoring Mexico’s former territories the U.S. had taken over. The Mexicans declined after studying the telegram. They had appointed a commission to see if this was possible and determined it wasn’t.
One can only imagine what secrets we have now. Some believe we know of the existence of extraterrestrials and others even think government representatives have met with them. There are suspicions we have had secret deals with unfriendly governments which benefited both sides. I don’t know if any of this is true, but I also don’t know if any of it is false.
