Strange Beliefs
I have heard a lot of unusual things in my life, but never as unusual as some of the things I was told by people I interview or from articles I read. You can really find a lot of very strange things people believe when you search the internet. Some of these beliefs are so strange they had me questioning the sanity of the people who believe them. Quite frankly you never know how sane anyone is you are dealing with. Let me give you an example. I can’t go into specifics, but I can tell you this, there were at least six judges who had different levels of mental illness sitting on the bench in one state judicial subdivision. Can you imagine having your case heard by one of them? Getting back to what I was talking about, I interviewed one person who believed he could send telepathic signals to aliens who were on the earth and they would come to him. If he is right then I guess I look stupid for doubting him. He did say he had done this and actually met with an alien.
One person believes there are aliens who are pure evil. He went on to state we are two beings in one. We have a soul which is really a non-corporal being inside us and are only using this body and when we die our non-corporal being is released. He said it heads toward the moon. This is even stranger when you know many people believe our souls head toward the light. He went on to say it is drawn to the moon by a giant alien machine which then sucks in our souls and uses them as a power source until they are used up. I hate to say it, but I heard much saner things being said from people I knew had a mental problem. I imagine there would be some people who might read this and get scared, because there are always those who think if something is on the internet it has to be true.
One person who was a scientist told me something he believed. He thought we lived in different moments of time all at the same time. I have a very hard time trying to wrap my head around that one. This would mean we would grow old and die instantly in one time frame while being born in the time frame at the beginning. I will be honest with you, I have a very hard time believing in time travel and some time theories. It is almost if not impossible for most of us to understand. When we talk about traveling into the future most of the time we are talking about traveling so fast our bodies slow down while everyone else is aging normally. I do not call this time travel even though it is referred to as such. I just don’t see how we could ever go back into the past since it is already finished. I do not eliminate seeing shadows of what the past was, but I really don’t think we could ever interact with people in the past, because I believe they are already dead and not alive in some past time.
Some things I have been told I do agree with. I spoke with a person from the military industrial complex. He worked for a subcontractor and was up on what was happening in that industry. He was well educated and had a responsible position. He said there will never be peace in the United States, because the military industrial complex needs conflict to sell weapons. He told me this about 10 years ago and we are still fighting since he said it. If we look back at our record of wars since World War II we see everything we do diplomatically is geared to more fighting somewhere. It seems the United States has been involved in more conflicts than any other nation on earth since the last World War. I believe this person certainly knew what he was talking about and it agrees with what former president Eisenhower said in his farewell speech which was something to the effect to never let the military industrial complex get too strong.
One thing which I find hard to believe is people who go around saying they are the reincarnation of some famous person in history. There are a lot of people who believe in reincarnation and there is some proof which seems to support it in some cases, but the theory is still very much up in the air. I have met two people who both thought they were Jesus Christ. Needless to say they landed up in a mental institution. I guess if you have to think you are someone else you couldn’t pick a better role model.
I have to say when several scientists proposed all of us were nothing more than holographic projections I thought they lost their minds. It seems very unscientific to propose this as a theory. Some might ask why do I feel this way. I would have to answer by saying if we think this theory could be true than anything we think of could be true. One might as well say we are all fish being convinced we are humans. Where is the proof? I think this hologram theory was born, because certain things in our universe can’t be explained and might bear a resemblance to something a holograph could project, but that certainly doesn’t mean we are holograms. There are parts of space which are very mysterious and are repeated. This is called gravitational lensing and causes stars and maybe nebula to appear in several different areas of the sky at once, but this is pretty weak evidence for a hologram human.
There are still many people out there who believe the dead can be talked to. Edison spent many years on a machine he thought would be able to allow us to talk to dead people, but in the end he failed. Over hundreds of years people claiming to be clairvoyant have tried to convince people they could talk to the dead, usually for a price. The famous magician Houdini spent many years going from one to another and exposed all of them. No not one ever really did talk to the dead, they were all cheats. There have been a few times in history when crowds of people witnessed what they believed were spirits talking to them, such as Mary at Fatima in Portugal. Something happened there, because thousands saw it. Many believe it was a religious miracle, but others think it was a trick by aliens to get our attention.
Yes the strange beliefs of all of us are right there on the internet for all to see and there is enough of them to write quite a large book about.
