Science Fiction Movies And Messages
Now I have heard it all. A few of those people who believe we are really living in a computer program and we are computer generated beings now say death is being moved from one program to another. I must say I have never thought of myself as being anything other than a living, breathing human being with free will to do what I want. Sometimes I think the movie “The Matrix” has done more harm than good, because it has gotten some people to believe it was a true story. For those people who think it might have been true I have a suggestion and it is they don’t try and jump off buildings, because this is when they are going to find out the truth, we live on planet earth and jumping off buildings is deadly, unless they are one story tall or less. The problem is some people think movies are the way messages are relayed to us so we can know the truth. I have heard people say this before, they somehow think the writer and maybe even the producer are trying to tell us something they otherwise could not.
One of the movies on top of the list for those people is “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” I have heard and read about a lot of people who think this was a true story, the story of how the US government made contact with aliens. I have to wonder if it didn’t occur to these people the writer thought the story of alien contact was an interesting one, one which was so interesting it would make a good science fiction movie? If we were to assume this was a true story it would have to mean the people involved with making the movie would have had to have known someone high up in the government who knew about how the government made contact. There are many people who believe our government is in contact with aliens, but they don’t necessarily think this movie was a true story. The truth is it would be possible for a talented writer to cobble together the stories about alien contact and construct a movie script. It is possible because there is enough material out there.
Many of us have heard we have been warned by aliens to change our ways and some have said we have also been warned to stay away from the moon. They claim this message was first spelled out for us by the movie “The Day the Earth Stood Still.” To those people I have to remind them this movie was nothing more than a remake of a movie from 1951, far before we ever went to the moon. The movie contained a warning which stated we would be destroyed if we didn’t stop our waring ways. This has been a theme which goes much further back. In the New Testament Jesus sees war as evil and states we should avoid retaliation and revenge and extend love even to our enemies. Could this have really been the idea behind this movie? There is plenty of material in the bible in both the Old and New Testament which could be the basis for a movie.
One of the things which some have said about movies and in particular the Star Trek television show was we were given devices by aliens, but they were so advanced we couldn’t come out with them unless we could show the idea was first thought of by humans. Enter Star Trek, where captain Kirk uses what looks like a flip top cell phone to communicate and laser weapons. In the show Doc Bones uses fancy medical devices which seem to foreshadow our PET scan. Lately I have heard we are developing small medical scanners which Star Trek is being credited for, but supposedly the devices were given to us by benevolent aliens. Why can’t humans get credit for good ideas? Science fiction has been responsible for many good ideas which ultimately resulted in devices being created. It doesn’t mean it is a cover up for devices we were given by extraterrestrial beings.
Another science fiction movie which some say was really giving us a secret message about alien abduction of intelligent people was titled, “This Island Earth.” It depicts a test which aliens are giving to a scientist who thinks he is building some sort of advanced machine from a new company. When he is able to reconstruct this machine he is taken by an alien back to the alien’s planet to help them with their war. There has been much talk about humans being taken and forced to fight for aliens in wars. There are long lists of scientists who have disappeared without a trace and some point to this movie and say it is telling us what really happened to them. I have to say this, would a race of beings who are able to travel here from other star systems and are far ahead of us in technology, possibly thousands of years or more be able to get any use from an earth scientist? It doesn’t make much sense to me. As far as missing scientists go, I would think if they were abducted it was by other humans and they are probably being forced to work in other countries.
I didn’t see the movie “Men Who Stare At Goats”, but the reason I am talking about it is it was about remote viewing and the man who starred in it, George Clooney was said to have read the book by Jon Ronson and was convinced remote viewing was real, so this movie was an attempt to tell us what was really happening. It has nothing to do with aliens however and is about the remote viewing project in the United States. Remote viewing was a way of spying on people without being there, by training certain people who had the talent, to be able to concentrate on a place and then visualize it. It was said we were able to use it to see into the room where the US hostages were being held in Iran. The Russians had a similar program. Supposedly we discontinued this program, but if you believe how successful we were, the program would still have to exist as a “black program” which is a secret program funded secretly.
I guess there will always be a certain amount of people who will believe a movie is true even when they are told it is fiction, especially if it has to do with aliens and such. I am not talking about documentaries, but about Hollywood movies which are created for entertainment and expected to make money. I suppose there are even a few who believe the X-Men or some of the superhero movies are telling us about super aliens on earth.
