Deals Between Countries I am convinced there are relationships between countries we know nothing about and things going on which would upset us if we knew about them. Just look at some of the things we know and how much they upset us. I rest my case on that premise. Can countries be partners in conspiracies? We know this has happened during times of war and before. Look at World War II and how the Germans made up stories about Poland and then invaded it. It had to be known by Italy. Governments even double-cross each other. Germany and Japan were part of the Axis powers and yet when Germany invaded the Soviet Union Japan refused to participate. If Japan would have helped fight the Soviet Union, a country it had defeated before, the outcome might have been completely different. I am sure Hitler was surprised at Japan’s decision. Just about everyone knows what good cop, bad cop is, but just in case there is someone out there who doesn’t let me tell you. That is when one cop comes down very hard on a criminal trying to get him to spill the beans and when he fails another cop takes over and acts nice to the criminal and acts like he is doing things for the person’s own good. I have often wondered if countries do something like this. Some news sources claim this is why President Trump keeps National Security Adviser Bolton around. Bolton is a known hawk and it is said Trump uses him to scare those he negotiates with and then Trump comes along with the velvet glove. Wouldn’t you like to be a fly on the wall during negotiations between countries? Most of the world is trying to improve their lot and better the economy of their countries, but there are a few which are determined to build a nuclear force to threaten their place into becoming a powerful nation. This puts the United States into a very odd position. The United States has thousands of nuclear weapons on the one hand, but on the other doesn’t want to see the spread of nuclear weapons and feels if North Korea and Iran get those weapons it could lead to a nuclear war. These two countries point at us and think we have no right to stop them from developing nukes since we have them ourselves. We had no choice has a nation at the time we developed nuclear weapons since the Germans had started to try and develop them. Once the war ended there was no way of putting the genie back in the bottle as they say. While nuclear power advanced our technology it also threatened it. We are finding out now some of our advances could be used as terrible weapons and some could even be worse than a nuclear bomb such as artificial intelligence. There has been a lot of talk about what might happen if artificial intelligence is turned against us and while a nuclear bomb would kill a lot of people, rogue artificial intelligence might just target everyone on the planet. Could there be a deal made between several countries to cooperate in a scheme to bring down a more powerful country? Some people believe China is letting North Korea get out of control. This would mean China has the ultimate power over North Korea, but I am not sure that is true. While North Korea does listen to China on many of the big issues, it goes its own way on others. I do not believe China wants North Korea to start a war on the Korean peninsula. It would have nothing to gain from that war and might even be drawn into it along with the United States. It does seem however that there is some connection between North Korea and Iran. Recently Iran launched a short range missile on a test flight. The missile technology came from North Korea. How did that happen? It is said the technology was decades old which means there had to be contacts between the two countries for some time. North Korea and Iran pledged cooperation in educational, scientific and cultural matters. I do not believe many people knew about this. We are having the same problem with both countries which have the same goals, that is to develop nuclear weapons and rockets to deliver them. Both countries are willing to sacrifice their economies to accomplish this and don’t seem to care about the hardships this is putting their people through. When asked to give up nuclear weapons North Korea looks at what happened when Libya did. Early at the turn of the century Libya gave up its nuclear weapons and they were dismantled. A civil war broke out in that country in 2011 and NATO intervened and Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown. Gaddafi was killed during the war at the battle of Sirte. The North Koreans claimed he was set up by us so Libya would have no weapons of mass destruction to defend himself with. This of course makes it much harder to deal with getting North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons. Was a secret deal made between the U.S. and NATO to destroy the Gaddafi regime, I don’t think so just by the fact we would have waited about eleven years to do it and by that a time new president was elected. We went from a Republican president, George W. Bush to a Democratic one, Barack Obama. We really do not know what secret deals are made between countries. What we do know is some countries are closer it ties than others and in the case of the United States we are very close with Canada and Great Britain. Canada shares many military installations with the United States and buys some of its military equipment from us. The same is true to a lesser extent with Great Britain. We share bases in some areas with Great Britain. It is said there are only a couple of areas in the United States with foreign bases, not counting the joint operations with Canada. The Royal Navy is said to have a repair and maintenance operation in Savannah, Georgia and there is said to be a German Air Force training center at Holloman Air Force Base in Texas. We may have bases all over the world, but the rest of the world does not have hardly any bases here. One of the reasons for this is North America is one of the most peaceful multi-country continents on the planet. Another reason is the United States is capable of protecting itself.
