Looking into the Miscellaneous Files Again One person wrote something which is so true and it was the fact we could have been on Mars more than 30 years ago. The truth is we had the ability to try and make it, but it is questionable if we would have succeeded. We are talking about enough supplies for a crew which would have to last at least nine months for the journey, many months on the planet until we could grow food and maybe years if we wanted to let the crew return. The radiation problem would also have to be solved for the trips and for the time on the planet. I had heard about a plan to send a few rockets packed with supplies to the Red Planet before actually sending people there so they would have enough supplies. Anyway, some believe we did this and we actually got people on to Mars and others think we now have the ability to get there with secret technology in just a couple of hours or faster. The results of new research were released and it seems to solve the riddle of how the moon was formed. It states the moon came from inside the earth. Does this mean the earth is hollow as some believe? Not necessarily. The reason I say this is supposedly when the moon came from the earth, the earth was nothing more than a spinning cloud of vapor which was composed of rock. One scientist stated, “This new work explains features of the moon that are hard to resolve with current ideas.” He went on to say, “This is the first model that can match the pattern of the moon’s composition.” One of the reasons some scientists never believed the earth was crashed into and this led to the moon being formed was the fact many minerals on earth are missing from the moon and wouldn’t have been available in the vapor state the earth was in at the time. Scientists believe they have found a type of black hole which is different from the others. Black holes are areas of space which contain extremely high gravitation from the collapse of a star and the gravity is so strong light cannot escape it. Some mathematicians came out with new calculations which they claim prove some black holes in our universe can reset the history of their contents by erasing them and changing the future. I have always had a hard time with this kind of stuff. How can one change the future? Even if they had some kind of power how do they change a future they knew nothing about? If they made a change maybe that was always meant to be so it would be changing nothing. How long have humans liked dogs and how long have they like us? Many have wondered about this question and it seems a partial answer has been found. Archeologists claim they made an interesting discovery related to this question. They found some dog fossils when dated were over 10,000 years old. Apparently, the fossils were of a puppy and they could tell the dog was being cared for while it was sick with distemper, but eventually died. The puppy was between 27-28 weeks old. It was obvious the puppy was being cared for but had no use to the person or family except for the fact they probably loved it. There is a history of things being found which should not have existed when they did. Giant stone tools which were over 5,000,000 years old, jewelry which was over 1,000,000 years old and many other objects. Well, we have another discovery. Scientists believe 300,000,000 years ago there weren’t even dinosaurs on the earth yet. Something incredible was found in Russia, it is part of a toothed gear from a machine. So what you say? The reason this find is so incredible is the gear has been dated and the date states it is 300,000,000 years old. It was found inside a piece of coal near the border of China and North Korea. The coal came from the Chernogorodskiy mines of the Khakasis region and that coal has been dated from the same time. It looked like the type of gear a microscope uses to move up and down. The metal was examined and was found to be 98 percent aluminum and 2 percent magnesium. Because of its date some believe it must be of alien origin. Russian scientists have stated they will run more tests on the object. There has been a lot of improvement in lighting in the last decade or so. Many homes now use led bulbs instead of incandescent which has cut down on our electric bills, but what if you could light a home for free? I am not talking about solar panels or any such devices, I am talking about lighting coming from glowing plants. Scientists have made a breakthrough in creating bioluminescent plants. When scientists injected special nanoparticles into the leaves of a watercress plant in gave off a glow for over 4 hours. The chemical was the same which causes fireflies to light. It is said the light from the plant was bright enough to read a book by. MIT researchers believe they can improve the process and get light bright enough for the workplace, a street or low-intensity indoor lighting. Many of us have had an EEG. EEG stands for electroencephalography. Now this device is being used to create pictures of what our brain sees. Test subjects were hooked up to the EEG and given pictures of people’s faces to look at. The machine was then used to digitally reproduce what was seen. This had been done previously using a fMRI which is a functional magnetic resonance Imaging. There are advantages of the EEG over the fMRI which are the machines are common, cheaper and they can track how the image is formed in milliseconds which is much faster than the fMRI machine. |
